El Naturalista schoenen komen uit Rioja, een streek in Spanje waar van oudsher veel schoenen vandaan komen. El Naturalista maakt schoenen 'zonder daarmee de natuur lastig te vallen', in andere woorden, buitengewoon natuurvriendelijk. Zij vinden dat als je om de natuur om je heen geeft, je er ook voor moet zorgen. De leerkleuren worden daarom op natuurlijke basis aangebracht en de zolen zijn altijd van natuur-rubber, soms ook met gerecycled rubber . Draai eens een paar El Naturalista schoenen om, om de zool te bekijken. Daar is in het natuur-rubber een grappige, op de natuur gebaseerde, print aangebracht. Zelfs de dozen waar de schoenen in verstuurd worden, zijn van gerecycled karton. Behalve dat El Naturalista fantastisch comfortabele, mooie schoenen maakt, ondersteunen zij ook enkele projecten in Zuid Amerika, waaronder een theeplantage project waarover U meer kunt lezen op hun website.
